    Our Buff hens are great, very docile and friendly, I got them as day old chicks from murray mcmurray, have always handled them. Great layers, had three go broody, we want this. In our flock they are second in the pecking order. Our roo is very protective and gentle with the hens.

    Was able to make alot of progress on the Silkie tractor this weekend, still need to build a door into the run, add hinges to all the doors, surround the run with wire, make the ramp, coop door, paint it, build roosting bars. Going to take a couple more weekends.

    Hello, the chicks are five weeks old now and I'm changing the water setup to cups, my question is will they all find the water or do I need to show them like new chicks? Some have found it by just being curious but I'm concerned for the rest. Thank you all

    I wouldn't in my area, hawks everywhere, cats and dogs, I built a big chicken tractor to keep them happy and safe.
