Does anyone have some cute chicken couples?

I have a beautiful, progressive pair of mothers. When Alison went broody we put a few eggs under her and Erica decided she also wanted to brood and move in to help out. After the eggs hatched they worked as a team to raise the babies with no fighting over whos chicks were who's. They have since...

Polish pullet, 13 weeks, minor beak injury, Reccomendations?

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it, was cleaned with saline and iodine when first spotted. And yes polish do have big nostrils. I like to think with the feathers obstructing their vision they needed to develop a better sense of smell to compensate 🤣

Polish pullet, 13 weeks, minor beak injury, Reccomendations?

Not that I'm aware of, it looks as it did at 10 weeks, the wound is in line with the top of the beak I'll attach another angle. Also an image of 10 weeks to compare.

Polish pullet, 13 weeks, minor beak injury, Reccomendations?

Just curious if others have seen similar with metal feed bowls? Is this just a chip that will heal over? Have changed to plastic bowl now. She seems un-bothered if I touch it or clean it, it appears to have formed a scab over the top.

Our other hen has now after a week decided she also wants to be a mum and has moved in to help brooding. There has been no fighting, they're getting along great, taking it in turns sitting on the...

Thank you, he had chikens his whole life. The chikens kept him getting up in the morning and moving and I feel that's helped him make it so long and stay healthy. They were on the property unattended for at least three days so they look a bit rough but they're going to be having a bath and a...

Inhereted two silkies from a friends property

I'm unsure if these are both roosters, I took in the two when my friend passed. I've raised Rhode Island reds before. I'm have a feeling the grey is a roo I'm unsure on the white. My only guess on the grey is because of its comb and wattle but it's not a pure silkie. Thanks for your help...
