Thank you to the link for the article!! I had a couple chickens when I was a child, but am new to learning about ownership as an adult!! I’m also new to the site, and didn’t see the articles, so will be going down a rabbit hole to learn more! I did just get a tax refund, so have a little extra...
I’m not 100% sure! Raising chicks for my neighbor is what made me want my own chickens! I will almost certainly be keeping one of hers (breed unknown) that seems to have some sort of runting or dwarfism. I may keep an additional chick (Brahma) who had, but recovered from what seemed to be AE -...
Oh, wow!! I didn’t even know I could do that!! Thank you - I’ll update. I’m in North Carolina!

A chick that I am raising for my neighbor was listed as a Barred Rock, but is much smaller than her siblings, and also has different coloration. My neighbor picked her up at TSC.
I’ve been watching her closely to make sure she’s not sick, but haven’t noticed any...
My name is Remy, and I’m somewhat new to chickens! I’ve been helping a neighbor raise some chicks recently, and have been caretaking for her chickens for three years now! I’ve claimed a couple of her roos, Noche and Ralph, as my own and am especially close with them!
I currently have six...
