Yes, I think so too! I hadn't thought of it until I was typing the post. The caretaker will definitely make sure about the food and water. Though, the food and water that I'll put in lasts a few days with 12 chickens. So 2 should be good!
Thank you for the response!
I've had my one hen, Honey, for a bit over a year now. She is the sweetest girl every and always follows the rules, and typically one of the first girls in bed at night.
I recently was away dog sitting, and my mum was watching them. When I got back Honey was missing and I found her under the...
The chickens have an automatic door. I do give the geese plants lile lettuce and carrot leaves and dandelions in their pool, the chickens won't go in it and the dog has no interest in salad. For tonight I'm letting the dog dog out of the pen to play with the non-working dog so the geese can eat...
The geese are 9 weeks old now. Maybe 10, I wasn't told the hatch date, but when I got them a week and a half ago she said they were 9 weeks. The geese are in the same pen as the chickens and dog (he's a LSG dog). The chicken feeder is a rat proof one that they step on and it opens and they can...
It hasn't been too bad, it is just three geese. And there's no running water on my property. Just a sad little well. There's a creek that I have to cross to get home, I'm thinking of filling water jugs in it and filling the pool that way
Hello, everyone!
I have recently gotten geese and they've settled in well with my chickens and dog, but the chickens and dog are rather rude and eat all the goose food before the geese get any. The dog chases off any of the birds if they're eating something he wants, and the roosters are scary...
Not too long after making this post, my geese decided the chickens and dog are pretty chill and now enjoy being on the chicken side of the pen, which means I will be able to get a filter now, once I settle on a spot to put the pool
Hello everyone,
I just got three geese last week (they're 9 weeks old now) and I live on a property with a rather crappy well, so we haven't been able to make a pond yet. Until a pond is made, I've given them a deep kiddie pool that is large enough for them all to play and splash in. They have...
They have a pen to live in with my LSG dog and chickens, but my dad also has some stuff in there. I don't know what he really needs to be in there for. Usually when he's working in the yard I'm not home because of work
I want to handle mine and be friends with them. The geese are a mix of sebastopol, toulouse and Chinese. They don't seem too aggressive, but I guess if they are mean to him I can get a large dog crate for them while he works? Obviously with food and water in it
Hello everyone!
I just got three geese (Medusa, Lyric and Zephyr). They're 8 weeks old. I'm worried that they will only like me and my family they will see everyday, and be aggressive to my dad who works away and typically is only home every few months. Is there a way to make sure they at the...
So the Embden goslings didn't work out. They had all males. So I'm waiting to hear back from someone locally who has 3 available that are 2 months old.
If they can't fly then they won't get stuck in the net. They'd have to get up high on something to glide down. The closet hill is thankfully too far for them to fly off of
Yeah I'm so excited! I think everyone I know is really to lock me in a box and ship me away, because I talk about them too much! And absolutely, I'll have to keep you up to date!
