ive been flushing with saline twice daily and she’s been fighting it less and less every day. she also has 24 access to her water, feed, scratch, and black soldier fly larvae
okay thank you for the advice. the vetericyn finally comes in today so i’ll use that tonight. i want to get her back in with the flock asap. they were mostly all raised together from chicks but you know how chickens are. she’s always been fairly low in the pecking order so i dont want to keep...
she has opened it a few times when i flush it out. i think she knows its helping and sits still but she cant open it all the way and closes it right after. i havent noticed any other symptoms
i havent seen any sort of gunk or bubbles so far. she doesnt have much energy, but she’s always been a pretty quiet and gentle bird. i’ll start the neosporin now and continue flushing. should i give her electrolytes as well? i cant find my bag of hydro hen i’ll have to get some more tomorrow...

This morning I found a young mourning dove walking around on the ground, seemingly with a broken or sprained wing. I was already running late for work so I had to leave it in the backyard. When I go on break I want to try to find it and help it. What should I do? Wrap the wing to it’s body with...
she keeps getting small burst of energy, kicking, and fighting, and then calms down. Her eyes are open now she keeps opening and closing them. I’m trying to get her to drink more of this electrolyte stuff. She keeps going still, and then like pulling her neck back really and stretching out and...
I separated her from the rest in case she’s contagious. I have to leave the house for a few hours now but I have a feeling by the time I get back she’ll be gone. I gave them the electrolyte packet with cold water and now I guess I just hope for the best.
Oh God could it be Mareks?? I don’t know if theyre vaccinated against it i’m not even the one who bought them. What precautions should I take? We’ve never had this happen and know 2/5 chicks have issues so something is clearly wrong.
We had them on the chick start and grow until like 3 ish weeks ago. I thought they were ready to move up to what the rest of them eat but maybe it was too soon?
We live in florida where it’s been reaching the 90°s, however there is full shade, pretty good air flow, and the ground stays fairly damp due to frequent rain. We also give them cold/frozen watermelon, blueberries, sprouted lentils, sweet potato, carrots. etc. And give them fresh cold water at...
Please help. Another one of the pullets is showing the same symptoms as Winnie. She’s lethargic, can’t walk or stand for long periods of time, and she feels a little skinnier than the rest of them. She’s a sapphire gem. What’s wrong with her??
