    Silkie hen or rooster (4mo)?

    Hi! I am replying to this thread because I have the same question and am going crazy trying to find out what sex this silkie is and “it” is so hard to get a picture of the comb :( Someone PLEASE help! :ya oh and also “it” is 2 days away from being 5 months old and NO crowing 🤷‍♀️

    I can definitely see what you’re talking about now with the tail, still not so sure on the hackles. I’ll get better pictures in the daylight tomorrow of their combs. I just had a middle of the night panic that I needed to find the roosters homes lol. Thanks for the help! :)

    noooooo I was hoping the silkie and white one I would be able to keep. I though because the silkie had a neat top knot it might be a girl :(

    Hi everyone! I am a new chicken mom and have raised 4 “sexed silkies” from Rural King. Only one of them is definitely a silkie and the rest I think are cochins? I think 2 are “red” and one is white. So, I am pretty sure I have some cockerels in the mix. They are 5 months old now and no signs...
