I have a 7 months old Rhode Island Red which laid her first egg on the 18th August and laid her second egg on the 20th August. Today is 23rd and she hasn’t laid any egg yet. My question is, is it normal for a hen not to lay for few days interval.
I’m new to chickens. I need help telling if this is hen or roo. I have three RIR. The other two are making the egg laying sound but no egg yet. I would like to know if this one is hen or roo?

They all ended up hatching on their own without any assistance. It did take several hours after external pip for them to zip. Once again thanks for the advice. I would have done something if you didn’t ask me to let them do their thing.

I get it. My incubator temperature is reading 37.5 whiles this digital device is reading at 34C. The humidity is 51%. I have not added water to the incubator yet as it raises the humidity level to around 60% plus. Can incubate dry without adding water?
