Rhode Island Red first time layer

I have a 7 months old Rhode Island Red which laid her first egg on the 18th August and laid her second egg on the 20th August. Today is 23rd and she hasn’t laid any egg yet. My question is, is it normal for a hen not to lay for few days interval.

Yes, completely normal! It takes a while for their bodies to get everything working in synch.

- I should have added: you also might see a few soft-shelled or no-shell eggs at first, which can happen when the timing of the release of the ova is still irregular.
