The underside is whole, it has a small dent in it so it's a bit twisted. But overall it's healing well too! His tongue is also in good shape thank goodness.

    HELP- bill injury

Thank you all for the replies. I just wanted to post an update and ask another question. He is doing well, in good spirits, drinking lots and showing an interest in food again. Applying his antibiotic ointment tonight I noticed the break on the top of his bill is clean through. It had looked...

Thanks a lot for your reply! Thanks so much for the advice. Just as an update, it's been 2 weeks since we brought them home and with the help of the sorting board and lots of time spent with them they have both come around. We used a dust pan to scratch him behind his ears for the first while...

    Pig help

The original owner went through a divorce, and he doesn't want them back. He did get back to me and say he's never had a problem with them before, so like you said this is mostly stress induced. I do have a sorting board for when I go in there with him. He seems to be getting more comfortable...

    Pig help

Hi everyone, I need some advice. Recently took in two mini pigs, a gilt and a barrow (each approx 8 years old) from someone who no longer wanted to look after them. Serama chicks temp question

2 guys and one little gal is my guess. How soon do you think I will need to separate the little family? My rooster goes outside during the day to give him a break from wife and kids, and they all seem to get along fine when they're together. But I don't want any fighting happening. Do you think...

    Serama chicks temp question

Thank you everyone. I'm getting a brooder box ready in our heated garage to move them in when the time comes. We are in for unseasonably warm beautiful weather this week, so hopefully that will make her more comfortable until she hatches them out. Thanks again for the advice!

    Serama chicks temp question

Hi all, I have a broody serama hen sitting on 6 eggs. They are looking good, I candled them this evening and they look to be getting close. I am in Ontario, its starting to get chilly at night. Do I need to remove the chicks and brood them myself or will mama serama be able to provide enough...

    Hello everyone!

Thank you! I've read lots of great info on here about predators. Everyone has been locked up in their pen since. They usually free range during daylight hours, but I'm not letting them out unsupervised after a broad daylight attack like that!

    Hello everyone!

Hi everyone! So excited to be part of this wonderful and super helpful community. I currently have 9 chickens, just lost 10 to a coyote attack sadly. I also have 6 ducks and one day old duckling in my brooder from my first go at incubating. My real job, or the job that pays for my bird...
