    Initially I thought this chicken was a rooster. I got him (?) and his sister as chicks and posted up photos of them as little guys to this board to ask about gender. Everyone agreed that the dark one was a rooster and the white one a hen. Well Now he is all grown up and I have 10 chickens total...

    On the term "show quality"

    Is there a place online where you can read and/or print out the standards for the breeds? I don't know that I want to spend the money on the giant book. Then you compare your birds to the standard as written and if they don't have DQs then they may be SQ?

    Look up Duane Urch for the salmon faverolles, I think I read somewhere he may sell hatching eggs as well as chicks. Many of his birds are show quality. I have two from him that I adore.
