It's been a hard winter and unfortunately I've lost a few birds. I am looking for a white drake and either a blue or black drake. They need to be show quality and in Michigan or able to ship. I would appreciate any information or offers and am willing to pay for quality birds.
Thanks, Jacob
If your talking about David rogers from Indiana then ya I know him. These birds are still in the project phase and will be for some time so they can't really be called a "breed" yet and there is still a lot of variation among them. The project was started by Tony-Marie with one onagadori hen...
Their not easy, many still have corn allergy, they have very specific diet and housing requirements. Tail maintenance is time consuming, some will waste away for no apparent reason and I don't know where your located but they can't take cold of any kind.
PS. If they are non-moulters they have a...
Not the best pics but what I have
On a side note, does anyone have silver hens for sale? I was given a cockbird this summer and need a hen or 2 for him.
More than likely a few dead pheasants. Most pheasants will not tolerate small pens and large crowds of people poking at them and shouting. Having said that, I have successfully brought pheasants to our county fair many times. What I did was set up a large dog kennel inside the barn, bungee cord...
I got my buffs at a show here in Michigan. I have the original pair (in the pics) that are 4 this spring and two ganders and one goose from them that are two years old.
Hi everybody,
I breed American Buffs and am trying to find other breeders. I am in need of some new blood for my small group of geese and would be interested in buying or trading some birds. Will try to post some pics of my stock tomorrow. I live in northern Michigan

Most people on here wont like this but as a breeder of many different animals sometimes the most effective thing to do is cull unwanted animals. I think that this is better than having them cramped into to small cages because of lack of space.
Just curious, do any of you realize that pheasants are not native to North America or Europe. It's not natural for them to be here and they will never survive in our countries as well as they would in there own.
Dude, they are not BREEDS, you talk about them as someone would chickens or cattle or sheep. Wild animals do not need improvement, mother nature has already done that. Yes, in the wild animals will skip over a mate that is unfit and I don't see culling for physical defects as improving anything...
Pheasants are not domestic animals and should not be treated as such. They are not breeds that need to be improved upon, they are wild animals that need to be preserved. Preservation means keeping their instincts, LIKE RUNNING AWAY!!! Yes people can do what they want with their animals but we...
I would not recomend starting with ringnecks as they are fairly aggressive. Goldens ar amherst are good beginner birds. Can you get another feed other than Purina, its really not a high quality feed like advertised. Kent feeds has a nice gamebird feeding program.
