Thank you! I had to do a lot culling with that hatch. Gave away most of the chicks and kept 2 that had the most traits. Her sister has everything EXCEPT the 5 toes. Hopefully this 2nd generation will be just as good, or better🤞🏻
I will try to get some pics of her eggs for you today
This is Goldie. She is a cross of a white silkie roo x Bantam Olive Egger hen. Her mom closely resembles a silver laced wyandotte, but she came out gold! She has feathered legs and feet, and as you can see, a small crest.
She decided to be a mom long before laying her first egg! She has adopted...
Same thing happened to my GLW hen! She went through her first molt at just over a year old, and the feathers came back with this almost double laced type of feathering. I don't know what caused it, but it's beautiful!! Came here looking for answers and found your thread
Where in NY? I am in Ulster County and will have barnyard mix chicks soon. I also have a few khaki Campbell ducklings, 1 black swedish, and 1 blue swedish duckling available. The other chicks I hatched went REALLY fast.
I'm not exactly BY Albany, but I could meet half way in Saugerties.
I have some eggs in the bator, and only a few ducklings left. The chicks went FAST!!!
They would be a barnyard mix. Most of them seem to be fathered by my EE rooster.
Hi! I know this was yearsss ago, but, I was wondering what you meant by "a couple of them look sticky"
This is my first time hatching ducks and I'm still trying to learn everything lol. I have ducks and have hatched chicks for many years, but like I said, 1st time hatching ducks lol
I'm trying to do some research and I THINK the cross between a Black Austrolorp hen and a New Hampshire roo makes a "Black Bovans"...? And RIR hens with a NH roo makes a Brown Bovan..?
Do you know, by chance?
They so such beautiful birds 😍
I do not have any quail eggs but I do have BOs...a full dozen. Do you want to meet tomorrow for the BO eggs, Ghostwolf?
@ rebelINy... Lisa took the quail back with her, sorry.
Our weather was BEAUTIFUL but unfortunately, only 6 people showed up...complete bummer! Pretty disappointed but on the up side, I got to meet some pretty cool people. I have to go out to buy another incubator because I was left with about 70 eggs :o/ Sorry to hear that the weather didnt hold up...
Just wanted to post my number up here, in case anyone gets lost or needs directions. But, like I had said earlier on...it is super easy to find. I will have a sign out that says EGG SWAP and white and brown balloons hanging on it. The church sit up on a hill. I have heard rumors of rain but...
Ok, the new updated list is up! If you see anything that I have missed and not put in, please let me know. If anyone need directions to the swap, just ask. Also, I wanted to bring some type of crockpot food like discussed earlier on but I am not going to have an type of electric to plug it into...
