Hello, we moved from Brick NJ where we had a whole slew of bok bok, roosters as well, (and we didnt even check ordinances, thanks goodness there ere no neighbors!) to Toms River and have no idea what the laws are. Right now we are chicken-less cause we couldnt take them when we moved, I was...
i dont have an incubator like youre thinking. just a lamp set up with humidity. it was an emergency set up cause my hen decided to stop her broodiness with 13 eggs under her....
So I have a few eggs incubating on the kitchen table, yes chicken on the table lol.... anyway, one of them is moving a bit side to side. Think its gonna hatch today? Is it ok to candle it at this point? Thanks!!
No it hatched under my broody hen what can I do for company? I can't bring in my broody cause she's still sitting on 5 more eggs. I thought I'd bring my bantam in and see if she plays momma.
No clue what breed yet. Possibilities are endless. My inventory- Hens- barred rock, mixed dark breed, silkie, leghorn, ringneck bantam, and a red hen of some sort. Roos- silkie, jersey giant.
????????????
Thx! I'm gonna try to post a pic, it's so cute!! My husband heard no food or water for 3 days but I don't have a clue what the heck that's all abt. How do I water her without endangering her?
Just wanted to update everyone, sorry it took so long. My Henny is doing much better. Her ear is all cleared up and it only took 1 session of peroxide and a few washes with neosporin every time. I thank you all for your advice and concern now just to get some of those eggs shes on to hatch.....
