    Naked Neck/Turken Thread

One of my hatches from February. He wouldn't stand all the way up for his pic but he towers over all the others size wise.

    Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I have hatched some of Dipsy's NN green egg frizzle eggs. Post office wasn't kind with the handling of the eggs so only 2 made it to hatch. Both were perfectly frizzled and a gorgeous blue! (I would post pics, but I no longer have them.)

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Wanted to post a pic (not the best) of my F1 OE chick pattern I have been getting from my black Tailed Buff marans roo over my cream legbar hens. They are some of the friendliest chicks I have ever raised. Soon I will be crossing my blue Isbar roo to my black Tailed Buff marans hens. Can't wait...

***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Getting back on after a long while off of BYC. Seems like the thread has really picked up since the last time I was here! Spring hatching season is well under way. I had narrowed my flock down this fall to just 4 breeds I wanted to focus on, but the hubby has all of the sudden become very...

    Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Right at the end of the year my NN roo was visciously attacked and nearly killed by a pit bull. The severe part of the damage being done to his back. After making the decision not to put him down and praying he would pull through, he is doing very well as of today. Lots of TLC, good nutrition...

My new blue Isbar cockerel that I picked up from lonnyandrinda. I named him Chrome. He is a talker and already likes showing off his little dance for the ladies

    The Olive-Egger thread!

I have had 2 crosses make olive eggs with spots. First were my Wellie x Am cross. (First pic) and my Isbar x FBCM cross. (Second pic). The spots on the eggs are darker and more plentiful at the beginning of the laying cycle and then taper off the longer the laying cycle. The spots do not happen...

    TULSA area Cluckers

That's what I wondering about the blue egg gene, but chicken genetics are definitely not my strong point.

@lonnyandrinda how does the color of your sapphire eggs compare to the color of the CL eggs? Lighter, darker? Are they like Olive eggers in the since that you only get the desired color in the F1 cross or will the sapphires breed true if bred together?
