Nothing like waiting till the last minute to think of this. Can someone tell me how long African harlequin quail take to hatch? I read somewhere 15 to 18 days but that leaves quite a period of not turning the eggs. I set them on June 10th so today would be day 13. Should I stop turning yet or...
My 2 cents worth would be let it go. Whatever happens is meant to be. I just "helped" a button after it had pipped 24 hrs earlier. Now I have a tiny bird with crippled feet.
Very cute pics.
In pics 3 and 4 they are similer in color but one has a black head and the other doesn't. Are they male and female or just different colors? Just curious.

Thank you. Looks like 14 will be the total hatch. Today will be 19 days so I am pulling the plug.
Now that the buttons are hatched I can work on some Harlequin quail.

Not bad for shipped eggs! Bring us the photos!!!!
Awesome for shipped eggs. Thank you for shipping such a wide variety of colors.
I will get some photos tonight.
My button babies are hatching. Started with 25 eggs and 13 have popped out and running all over the brooder. Hopefully more will be out when I get home.
Have several different colors that look too cute. I will post some pics tonight.
Different quail= different pens. Buttons are too small to be with larger quail. They also do much better in pairs.
I have bought lots of eggs on the internet and have some good hatches and some bad. I would say about 50% average.
Found this on TAMU website. It was from 2009 also.
Dr. Fred Thornberry was involved in a serious automobile accident in July, 2009. He is out of
the hospital, in rehab and improving every day. Contact the department for the latest update on
his progress.
Yeah I think I am going to try Silver Pheasant instead. A buddy gave me 2 eggs so I am going to throw them in the incubator.
Thanks for all the responses.
