OK.. I have my run just about completed.. Its framed and now I just need to put on the chicken wire/hardware cloth. i have stretched the hardware cloth out about 24" from the coop on all necessary sides.. i have it covered with rocks, dirt, and a few other things that will make something go ouch...
I have (7) 6 week old RIR mix.. Getting ready to start them on grower.. I also have 2 17 week RIR mixes.. Im getting redy to throw them in the coop all together. If the 17 weekers eat some of the grower will it affect the egg laying or vice versa for the 6 weekers eating layer
My coop is done.. i have to construct the run now.. the floor right now is dirt.. i plan on putting hay down.. what else do you guys recommend to put down? the run is going to be 20' long by 8' wide.. im going to have about 16 chickens in there
I have some 4 week old RIR mixes. They are starting to feather up good at this point.. what I want to know is when will they stop making the peep peep noise and turn into more of a cluck?
Have a 16 week old RIR mix pullet.. She is acting weird. She fluffs the feathers up on the back of her head and sits down or sometimes leans to one side.. Kinda strange.. Im new to this stuff so is this a normal thing?
My 3 week old meat bird is having issues walking. The other two are fine.. This one seems like he wants to bury himself in the pine chips and hide.. Doesnt sound good.

I have 7 chicks that are 2.5 weeks old. I have them in a tote for now. Its about 3 feet long by 2 feet wide by about 18" high.. Seems my chicks have developed a knack for jumping out.. any suggestions for a newbie as to a better container or how to contain them better? Thanks
