Hmm...very interesting topic. Have I messed up by keeping a light on my birds at night year round here in Texas? Does NOT get cold compared to what most of you are dealing with. My birds are 9 months old and have NEVER had a night without the light on them.
Yeah, I was not too thrilled with how they treated the chickies on Dirty Jobs but the more gentle version that I performed on my little girl seemed to help. She still acts like her bum is hurting or sore but all other activities are normal.
