For the past week all or maybe all but 1 egg is broken in the nest box. They are broken open at the end and content eaten. If I wait until late morning to open the coop the hens lay the eggs and they are fine to collect. They are only eaten when I open the coop early morning and let the hens...
When mine was like that she would go nuts for scrambled eggs, oatmeal and meal worms! I always had her normal laying ration and water with the infant vitamins available too.
This happened to one of my hens too and lasted over a month. I was also worried about her eating and drinking while I was at work. I made a hammock for her using a box and attaching fabric with leg holes to make a sling. She would hang comfortably, was able to stay upright and reach her food...
We recently had a hen walking unstable and isolated her immediately. Soon she was unable to stand or walk on her own (she has been culled and that was very hard to do to our pet). The rest of the flock is acting normal after many weeks of isolation but wanted ideas on cleaning the chicken...
