Here is a fun question for all of you silkie fans! I currently have 6 silkies. 3 are hens. One is a pullet another a cockerel and finally a rooster. Well all my hens are brooding now but prior to going broody all were laying eggs but only one hen was laying fertilized eggs. What gives!? Anyone...
For your consideration I am offering three Silkie cockerels for free. I live in Wells Maine and will not ship due to the cold weather so this is for pick up only.
I hatched these boys out last spring and have been growing them out for show. Once they hit puberty I started to notice color...
I have some of Moniques eggs in the bator now. Her babies are gorgeous and I can't wait for mine to hatch. I will definitely be getting more information the future!!
Thankyou for the wonderful response! As far as weather and temperature go, are they able to spend the day outside as long as they are with mom? I have a 8x8 fully enclosed run with rookf.

I removed him from his shell and laid him on a dish cloth on the floor of the bator. He is moving and will peep everynow and again his nreathing is heavy. I am,sure the fluid build u is making it difficult tobreath.
Sorry about all of the typos. Iam posting from my phone
The fluid like swelling on jis shoulder is actually gone now! But he still looks puffy. Poor guy.,i jave almost a dozen eggs that have not piped. I bet they drowned:(
Yes, everything looks swollen even around his eyes. I wonder if he is retaining fluid. I had really high humidity spikes and drops for a few days it was goinf from 93 to 50. It was awful!.freakin lg!
He looks really swollen like he was getting super squashed in the shell. He is way bigger/puffier then the one that just hatchedbeside him and the came out eggs that we pretty much the same size. If he gets out of the shell I will take another picture
