Gypsy07: Thank you so much for the advice! I will try the Q-tip method. They are not shipped eggs, they are eggs from my own flock. I do not have a humidity reading device so I have been keeping water in and the temp set at 100.5.

I have several eggs which pipped about 3 days ago. I can see the chicks working at the shell, one shell is even half off but the chick has not broken out yet...

The 18th day is lockdown. I agree, if you set them in the evening on the 10th, you would not count that as day #1. Therefore, your lockdown day would be the 29th. If you set them in the morning, your lockdown day would be the 28th. Make sure your humidity is regulated or the chicks can dry...
