I thought you had to refrigerate fertile eggs, no?
For the eggs I give away I do tell them they are not washed, and I only
give away the clean eggs.
I have a garden also, I put a second row of fencing, similiar to hardware cloth, around the bottom of the fence. The little ones can get through in some places I ran of the second fencing, but before long they are too big and can't.
