Feeding yourself should be a human right !
Chickens cluck and make some noise so keep them away from active property lines. A radio can help put it on a timer.
Some people keep chickens as pets...
Today I went to collect eggs. There were none to be seen but the straw was messed up so i decided to rearrange it.
surprize ! 3 eggs hidden under the straw...one of my girls was chatting up a storm after I took the eggs.

Sounds like he has Cibophobia, or fear of food. It can manifest in many forms.
The trip off is that he also will not eat home raised veggies.
He can't help himself.
Me, I won't eat raw shellfish. Don't like to think of eating a live creature. Everyone is afraid of something.

I had to make a large run to save mine from Fox.

My confusion comes in with the fact that she is only 21 weeks old and only laid 3 eggs !! Do hens go broody that fast? This may be a silly question but I thought they try to lay clutches of eggs... 3?
