well they do quite like soggy brown bread which we give them to fill them up a bit - often sprinkled with grit cos they dont get enough of it otherwise, i also try to give them fruit too which they love such as grapes and halved orange - which they all love!! though it took our new 2 a while to...
i have 2 new chickens which i added to my existing flock of 2 after one died, i keep my older 2 chickens in their existing coup at night and bought a coup for my new chickens (theyre all free ranged during the day.) but my younger 2 go into the run in front of their coup at night until they get...
i got 2 new chickens recently and they had both got really short blunt beaks. one of them has grown back and is fine but the others still seems quite short and she sometimes struggles to pick up or food of the floor or out of my hand, we keep food in dishes for them but they prefer to find their...

thanks for the help. the only thing is though weve managed to get the older two to bed but when the others follow them they get kicked back out. i think the only thing that has worked so far is getting the older 2 in letting them go to sleep then letting the other 2 go in afterwards. also we...
i bought 3 chickens last year and recently one of them was killed by a bird of prey, i got 2 more on monday called myrtle and maud and following the sellers advice we shut them in the run whilst the others ( since we free range our chickens) were left to roam the garden, when it came to getting...
