    She's 2 years and 2 months old... I haven't seen any mites. I have two age groups of hens, some just over a year old, others 2 years and 2 months. There doesn't appear to be much irritation, and I can see new feathers starting to come in.

    Hi all, So my beloved Voledemort has lost most/all of the feathers on her butt. The feathers that are left are coated in dried poop. What do I do??? Is it vent gleet? I can post a picture if it helps. All under the vent there is poopy feathers as well... HELP ME! Thanks!

    Even if your eggs are fertilized doesn't mean you can't eat them!!! As long as one of your hens doesn't incubate it, it's perfectly fine. It doesn't taste weird, and you won't be able to tell the difference.

    Hi again! So as a somewhat newbie I have a few questions about mixing my two flocks... We're planning to fence out an area in the main coop for the 5, 6-7 week olds to move into. Are they old enough? How long should I keep them in there? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!
