What kind of coop are you looking to build? I am a Contractor near your area. If it is not to large I could give you an estimate to build it in my shop and deliver it. You can check out my coop on the thread titled Southern California Coop.

Just a thought, you may want to add a little trap door on the bottom or one on the sides to sweep litter out into a wheel barrow or bucket. Will probably make life a little more pleasant for you and your birds.
Lots of people do. The part you really have to clean is under the roost, get something you can take out and dump into the compost pile and hose off, you will like your chickens much more. I used a washing machine pan works great. The roost is on hinges I prop it up pull out the pan and sweep...
In the way of what? My birds like to hang out on the ramp as much as the floor. They are birds climbing and getting off the ground is natural, it is only in the way for you. Put treads close enough together that they can walk up and down it with out sliding too much.

One of the things that I like most about my run is that I can stand up in it to clean it out. I made my run as secure as the coop it's self because I didn't want my life to revolve around opening and closing a door for my birds, but we live in a very mild climate so there is no door. Looks...
We clean ours out every two weeks, we use straw for the run and coop so we can mulch are avocado grove. Wheel barrow and a horse corral fork makes short work of it.

I thought of one more thing I would have done differently, more roost and less nest boxes. They all share the nest boxes so I usually only have eggs in three of the six.
Thanks, when I get some more time I plan on putting together a more thoughtful page. But quickly I will share a few thoughts on design and some things I will upgrade or could have done different.
I am a General Contractor and I built this for my parents avocado farm. I have since placed a...
