ok thanks. i was like say what? Ok so here is the part of my question that i dont think anyone answered. right next to this little now dried up sack coming out of its lower abdomen there is a little long thin thing about a quarter of an inch in length maybe a little more that is...
I posted about a red sack hanging from my chicks abdomen and now its a shriveled up dry black thing that I would like to get rid of for it so i can put it with another little chick. What should I do? Can you cut it off? I'm not even sure what it was in the first place, so I'm scared to do...
So I'm thinking its the yolk just not absorbed. But its big! But say that it is the yolk. What are things to do? I'm scared to tie it off and my instinct if saying to just leave it be and maybe it will just absorb it up while its laying in the damp paper towel?
But what if it isnt the egg yolk hanging out of his/her abdomen? what if its a intestine or some sack of blood that the chick needs to absorb still because I took the chick out of the egg to early?

It could have been too soon or some babies are born with their egg yolk sac not up inside right. It is sometimes hard to know right answer should I help or not.
I think i helped her/him way to early. How do you know if its the yolk hanging out? is the yolk usually red?

And i started helping it out with tweezers about 10 or 15 minutes ago. I was careful to only take away shell and not membrane but i didnt peel membrane off that looked dry.
No I didnt look at the clock when it did pip but id guess it was around noon today or later. I have it wrapped in a slightly damp paper towel right now and it just laying there wrapped in it. I made a mistake taking it out this soon.
I helped this chick out with tweezers and there is a red sack hanging out of her. She also seems to not have absorbed the yolk but i cant tell what the brown liquid is that poured out of the shell. Her head was still attached to the shell by something but she go herself free and i tried to...
My chicken has been in its egg for over a day now. it has a good area of egg gone, about 1 inch long and 1/4 of an inch thick. Its chirping inside the shell and occasionally pushes on the shell. Is it stuck? Should I just leave it alone? If it is stuck what should I do? I do not want to hurt...
