Hi. so i have a question. I know that one of the hatcheries that people order from has what they call a "clean-out" special. Now, maybe thats not exactly what its called but i know its a set of the leftover chicks in the incubators. And not just the chicken chicks, but ducks or geese or...
i know that there is a hatchery that does a "clean-out" ordering batch. But i can't remember which hatchery it is. If anyone has a clue, please let me know. I really want to order this.
I would definitely keep her separated. You can put all twelve under her, but once they hatch and start to grow, it will be harder for her to keep them all warm if you are going to let her raise them. My BO is doing awesome, even though I only gave her three eggs to hatch out. She gets very...
No eggs in the bator, but Mary just hatched 3 from under her broody butt! They are all so cute. one easter egger, one looks like a red sex link and the other is black. My roo is a gold laced wyandotte and the hens are a little bit of everything. I only gave her three eggs this time because I...

this is following the heart attack he had easter weekend. Hes been okay, just tired. I have to stay at the house with my mom, cause she can't handle staying alone. So we'll just pray he's in good hands as he'll be in Seattle. I will let you all know on monday.
okay all, I am here, safe and sound. All the babies made it. Just going to get settled in and then have to take my dad to the airport sunday morning. He is going in to have two stents put in his heart. Everyone keep their fingers crossed that all goes well.
Catch up with everyone later.
so have a question for you all. If I put a barred rock roo on my new BO hen, what will the resulting offspring most likely resemble. Anybody ever done this?
Gotta love that price too!! Eggs are in the future. When I get back home, I will be picking up a barred rock roo-free. Plus a few other big layers if the guy still has any left.
