    Colorado

I am near Monument, and my Norwegian Jaerhons keep on laying like little energizer bunnies while everyone else has gone into a molt. Several of the silkies molted really early and have begun to lay again October, which is really weird for silkies. EEs that were hatched in March finally just...

I think I know the answer to this but is there a quiet female duck?

I can hear the blue Swedish 300 yards away, but the cayuas only about 100 yards. I suppose quiet is relative.

I need to see some photo of some duck houses...easily built.

I got a free dog house off Craigslist and put a door on it. The ducks are very happy. Two of them nested and hatched ducklings in.

    incubating at high altitude

I have also noticed eggs layed at lower altitude have a very, low hatch rate when I ship them to altitude. Not scientific, but an issue I think.

    Looking For A Rooster!!

I have a nice, dark blue rooster. His only fault is that his earlobes are pale blue, instead of turquoise, so I probably don't want to breed him into my show birds. if you will give him a great home and pay shipping, he is yours. Let me know if you want a photo.
