    Have not checked for lice. Not sure how to check. She seems to be on the lower end of the pecking order, but I haven't noticed the other hens pecking at her. Lice could be it though. I will have to look into that.

    Molting mid winter

    I'm sure this is not all that abnormal but our Bard Rock is molting. Many of the feathers are gone from her neck. I can see the new feathers coming. Is there anything to keep them from freezing to death. We don't use artificial heat and they are quite hardy birds. Thanks
