Thanks everyone. Looks he will have to go. My friend can only keep one rooster and she ended up with 3. Hoping to find a good home for him and his brother. If anyone in the central MA area is interested........
If she is a dwarf, can she live a normal lifespan? Also is there any chance she could be introduced to the flock or would she just be too small and get picked on? And would there be any special care or nutritional issues?

Hmmm, interesting about it maybe being a dwarf. The owner of the flock thought it is a mutant of some kind. I didn't know there could be dwarf chickens. We are hoping it is a she and her name is Opal. She belongs to a friend.
Trying to figure out what this little one is. She/he came from a flock of Black copper marans, easter eggers, red sexlinks and silkies. There were no bantams in the flock. It is the same age as the one it is with in the photos but quite a difference in size. The owner of the flock that it came...
Going to give away a couple of roos and want to make sure this is one. Pretty sure I see pointy saddle feathers but the comb and waddles aren't nearly as big and red as the other roo that is the same age. This one is almost 5 months old and not crowing. Definitely a rooster?
These chickens belong to a friend. She did find out that there are black copper maran's in the flock where they came from so that explains the rooster. She was told there were no bantams in the flock though so we have no idea what is up with the little white chick. Will be interesting to see as...

The little white one is the same age as the brown one in that photo so I am sure she must be a bantam of some kind. Both are around 6 weeks old.
I found a better photo of the small white chick. These two are the same age but the white one is so tiny. Any idea what it is? Doesn't really have much in the way of tail feathers. I assume it is a bantam something. These both are about 6 weeks old.

Unfortunately I didn't get great head shots of the barred one. Probably won't be able to get any more shots for a few days. Here are the best shots that I got of that one though. I don't think it has a beard, at least not yet, and the comb doesn't look like a straight comb.
Can anyone help identify sex and breed of these chickens. I'm thinking the barred one is a roo?
Know the one is a roo because it crowed twice today. Easter egger? but not sure about the white one. White one has green legs. All of these are about 4 months old.
This one is about 6 weeks...
I have seen some strange things in a few of my eggs. I got one a few weeks ago that had a hard, bean sized thing in it. Kind of dark and grayish red? I tossed the egg. I have also gotten a few eggs with a dark spot(meat spot?) in it. These are all from young layers though. I will try to take...
I have a 4 yr old hen that is pretty much doing the same thing. She is in a heavy molt. She does come out with the 3 younger ones but just hangs out on the tree branch in the run. Later in the day, I see her scratching around and have seen her eat but she isn't her normal self. Seems kind of...
I think it is possible that 3 started laying on the same day. Out of my 4 new girls, all hatched on the same day, 3 started laying within a couple of days of each other. The 4th started a week after that.
Love the doubles. I have never had one before in my 7 yrs of having chickens until recently. Of my 4 newest girls, 3 have been giving me double yolkers off and on for the last few week. I know it won't last but it is kind of neat.
I just gave a loudmouth hen to a friend who didn't care about the noise. Out of my 4 new hens that have been laying for about a month, she was the noisiest. So far, for the last 3 days, I have gotten an egg from each but no cheering!:yiipchickjavascript:insert_text('',%20''); I really hope they...
