Ok....
Is anyone else noticing that the Blue seal Organic Layer Pellets have a lot, and I mean alot of crushed pellets???
I just opened a new bag the I purchased last weekend at Benedict Agway, and for the fourth time, there is a whole lot of
powered pellets. We have had this problem since...
I called the manufacturer in Iowa. I am still waiting for an answer from them. In the mean time.... we are sifting, sifting, sifting.
I think we will try another manufacturer of Organic feed. Does anyone know of another, besides Blue Seal that is sold in CT?

For those that use Blue Seal Organic Life Layer pellets..
Have you noticed anything different with it?? The last three bags had a lot of pulverized food product, so much so that we have to use a strainer to get to the pellets. The first time this happened was back...
Hey Connecticut,
How are everyone's chickens doing in the heat?? We had one yesterday that we thought was not going to make it, I placed her feet in
cool water, and she did perk up. My husband put a fan outside the run with ice in front of it to help cool them off. This Am she is fine along...

How adorable! I got my chicks from My Pet Chicken last April. They are now all paying their way giving eggs. I have 4 Buff Orpingtons.
They grow so fast. I think I want more!!!!
My husband and I are looking forward to attending. We will not be showing, just coming to look and check things out. We are still kinda new to chickens; our 4 hens were hatched last April (Buff Orpingtons) It would be great to be able to meet people from this site there.
Does anyone use baby pig waterers in their coops?
They are not sold in my area, I would have to order online, but I need to know what the circumference of the opening to the water container is, because I would need to use a shorter water contanier (ie: wide mouth X-large mason jar). The one...
