Two 17 week old roosters need a new home. Free, Pickup only

I have 2 roos that I need to rehome. One is a Production Red and the other appears to be an Ameraucana, but I do not know if he is pure. They are 17 weeks old and I have handled them enough that they don't have a complete meltdown if I pick them up, but they don't love it. I am not asking...

    I know I'm a boy, but what am I?

Quote: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought EE's always have pea combs which is tied to the gene for blue eggs. This chicken looks like it has a single comb. I could be completely wrong though, I'm a beginner when it comes to chickens.

    I know I'm a boy, but what am I?

It's hard to tell from the picture because of it's color, but it appears to me that there are some saddle feathers developing, so my guess is it's a roo. And I know you said he is lavender in color, but he resembles my Rhode Island Whites a lot.

One of my hens is "not right"

My hubby took her to the vet and the vet is 99% sure that she had Marek's. He put her on an antibiotic, but we aren't expecting her to live. We'll see.

    Lethargic chicken with closed eyes

What would one do in this situation? We have mixed layer feed with finisher feed because we got some hens that were supposed to be older than 18 weeks. We were only 3 weeks off from switching our original birds to layer feed. Could this be the problem with my sick girl? If so. What do I do...

One of my hens is "not right"

Hi, newbie here, both to the forum and to raising chickens. One of my Easter Egger hens has been off for the past week or so, she is 16 weeks old. I did a quick search here and determined the most likely cause was coccidia. I am on day 5 a Corid drench and there seems to be little change...
