    OK! Thanks for the help!! I did go into town and got some corid.... i cleaned up the water dish very thoroughly, and then mixed 2tsp corid to 1 gal water, and some are drinking right up.... I lost the one silkie this morning, it was barely breathing when i went out first thing and checked...

    HEChicken, I didn't have the trouble with grass in any of my beds i laid... but i did use FIL's corn seed bags and those are really heavy duty! Also we don't have grass as much over here as you all have. We have thistles and weeds and cheat grass.... Prairie, ya it's a book, Lasagna...

    Have you ever tried 'lasagna gardening'? It's a super no till way! I laid my whole veggie garden, 8-9 years ago. You will just need a few supplies, that mostly are free at least around here. Layer: Newspaper or cardboard, peat moss, barn litter, peat moss, compost, peat moss, grass...

    Well, called to add to my chick order and found out now, that the min. is 25 and on bantams, its a straight run only. 60% roo - 40% hen is what TSC told me. He was very helpful and gave me the hatchery websites so I could look at the different varieties and do a mix and match if I wanted...
