Yep, he was the only one to hatch out of ten.
He did! Silly little thing looks like popcorn hopping all excited when he hears me then crashes to sleep until he hears me again.
Should I feed medicated chick feed to to Serama? He's so teeny I don't want to lose him
I'm just happy I haven't killed it yet!
He's still peeping in the egg! I don't know if I'm supposed to help or not! The membrane is soft looking & not all stuck on him but he hasn't made any progress.
So, the one lone Serama egg is still in shell. It's 19 days was up yesterday but he's still in there. I can see from the light through the top that there's still movement in the egg but no pips...aarrrggg, he's slow...:(
So it's been over a day since lock down & I can see the shadow inside the egg moving & feet twitching when I hold the flashlight at the side of the lid but no peeping or egg rolling/wobbling or pips. This is day 18. I hope he gets in gear tomorrow. :)
So, I have one lone very active guy going into lockdown & have been doing the incubating dry. Getting the humidity up to low 60's now & have room for a couple of thermometers to be a paranoid Serama momma. :)
Is there anything else anyone can think of?
Thank you! I was worried that one day he was swimming & the next he died
This is my second try to incubate serama & I was thinking I did something wrong. The first ones only developed 2 & they didn't hatch.
