I did Christmas last year, I won't be doing winter again with chicks. The hatch was fun, but my poor chicks got too big for their cage inside and it was FREEZING outside! I lost a cockerel and Cam lost a few of her toes. :(
I would love to follow the thread though.
Not really. Let them sit for the night and set them te next. I think the fact that the air cells where pretty good helped a lot.
I will be sure to post pictures! :D
X2 on that. Just be quick. :) keep is posted on your hatch.
I think you need my hatch rate. This year I have only hatched one rooster when I really wanted a rooster!
My total hatch rate for roosters is 3... And pullets is 22. :hu
I'm glad they hatched though.
It looks neat.
Just a suggestion, I wouldn't open the incubator till they all hatch, you don't want that humidity escaping of the chicks eggs turned wrong. You may get a better hatch amount. :) It is so tempting though. :jumpy
Congrats!
Hope everyone's eggs are hatching! Haven't been around much. :frow
My shipped eggs from MPC got candled again today. 7/7 are still viable. So not only are they are fertile, they are still in the run after 8 days! Don't most eggs quit in the first few days?
