monarc look at a response i got for an ad for quail on craigslist in syracuse ny. i asked about this permit thing. i may sound like a am beating a dead dog but i am amazed that we need one and i don't think people know.
this is what i asked
> hi do you need to have a permit for quail? what...
i thought my husband would be mad at the new bator, but he wasn't. i guess after i called hysterical about his rotten kitten, he had no choice to be nice. he did say "you finally got a chick and this happens" i am ready now for chickies. i am getting more eggs from two other people.... i will...
i will candle the shell off them, if i don't see any thing. they won't grow because i will always have them out candling. lol i will think there is nothing going on and that i killed them. then i will think there is something wrong with the new bator. o boy. the stress. lol
monarc-i thought you would like that.
shelly- thanks, i hope i get something nice out of them. set them on sat evening so maybe tomorrow night or wednesday i will be able to see something.
i use the LG. that is why i have, one first ever and only, out of three batches and a brand new 1588 warming up so i can transfer shelly's eggs over. o and those quail i don't have in NY
i never finished updating my other post today. i didn't want to hear anyone opinion about me or my cat, when i said it got eatten in first seven hours of its life. thanks for listening. didn't mean to go off subject.
i can't believe you just said your cat. i posted my little first ever baby hatched today. a little ee. my rotten kitten came up stairs with it in his mouth. i had to leave and go back to work. i cried so bad all day. you can never have your first ever again.
do quail usually have good hatch rates. i candled today. they went in on the sixth. only three???? out of 25. i realize i don't know for sure but is that common?
