You're doing better than me! Out of 20 button eggs I have 1, and out of (total now) 31 A&M eggs, I have 2!!

i can't believe you just said your cat. i posted my little first ever baby hatched today. a little ee. my rotten kitten came up stairs with it in his mouth. i had to leave and go back to work. i cried so bad all day. you can never have your first ever again.

My first is still alive (a button quail) her names Pippin (because she was my first ever to pip)...she's my sweet heart...for a button quail she's deciently tame..not hand tame but she's affectionate with faces and will talk to me and my husband (in growls, peeps, and calls). It's reallycute..she even lays down if i stand up near their enclosure...she thinks im her mate and it's halarious and cute...i have a video of it.

i never finished updating my other post today. i didn't want to hear anyone opinion about me or my cat, when i said it got eatten in first seven hours of its life. thanks for listening. didn't mean to go off subject.

i use the LG. that is why i have, one first ever and only, out of three batches and a brand new 1588 warming up so i can transfer shelly's eggs over. o and those quail i don't have in NY

And yes I do have an LG, 2 right now actually. A friend of mine is letting me borrow hers, and it is driving me crazy!!

It will not hold temp worth a diddly!! It gets up to 102 at night, and in the 99.5 range during the day. But it is still air, and I had a lot of probs with my other one before I put a fan in it. I haven't had any problems hatching chickens in it (mine), but I was told to use the same settings for the quail. Well, I use the dry meathod for the chickies, and have heard that is a no-no for quail. So the buttons are in their own little bator with at least 50% humidity at all times. We'll see how they do. But who knows how they were handled before I got them, or if they got too cold in shipping. If these don't work I have found a button breeder in KY who is evidently not on here, but will try getting some from them. I would much rather drive for a few hours to get what I pay for, so to speak, than pay $$ for someone to trash them in shipping.

if someone gets on you abotu what your cat did just ignore them they don't know what they're talking about. I can almost bet that at some point in every bird owners life, they, their other pets, family members (including children) end up injuring or killing one of their birds unintentionally it happens and all we can do is support eachother and maybe give advice on how to avoid it in the future.

My fault that my cat killed my one bq....i should have shut my bedroom door when I wasnt in there...however i had left my door opened daily for weeks before this and had no incidences...he just got a spur of the moment "lets get in the brooder while moms not looking" i still dont always shut the bedroom door when im not in the room but I now do for sure shut it when I leave the house to go up to my other quail as I swear he (the cat) is waiting for his next opportunity. Evil boy...i love him but he's now and forever a murder lol.

Oh btw monarc, a fellow BYCer in KY has 10 baby A&M's he'll sell me for $1 each! So I will still be in business if my two turn out to be the same sex!
