if someone gets on you abotu what your cat did just ignore them they don't know what they're talking about. I can almost bet that at some point in every bird owners life, they, their other pets, family members (including children) end up injuring or killing one of their birds unintentionally it happens and all we can do is support eachother and maybe give advice on how to avoid it in the future.
My fault that my cat killed my one bq....i should have shut my bedroom door when I wasnt in there...however i had left my door opened daily for weeks before this and had no incidences...he just got a spur of the moment "lets get in the brooder while moms not looking" i still dont always shut the bedroom door when im not in the room but I now do for sure shut it when I leave the house to go up to my other quail as I swear he (the cat) is waiting for his next opportunity. Evil boy...i love him but he's now and forever a murder lol.
