Yes, definitely keep treats on hand. They go nuts for mealworms. Of course nothing beats hatching your own chicks. We have hatched a couple times, always a great experience.
My kids have handled her so much she doesn't bother running away anymore! Keep giving treats and I bet they get sweet in no time.

Yeah, I know for a fact the live hatch was canceled. A lot of people were pretty saddened by it.

That's why they had no poulty at the Big E. Sucks. Hopefully it's just a scare and not a big deal. I'm not feeding any wild birds this year, that's for sure.
