So I need more Wyandottes and SS LOL. Easy enough. They're fairly plentiful in my area and have sourced some SS nearby. Now, if I can find someone selling pullets that are about to lay, I'll be fine, I think. I hope :) Thanks!
Thanks. I'll continue to keep my eye on him just in case, since it was thought he was a she earlier in the thread. My BLRW that you can kinda see in the background is my other cockerel. Sooo...that just means more pullets than I originally intended, unless the boys become jerks at maturity.
I'm still struggling believing both my Speckled Sussex are pullets lol. This first lady here, Reba, I agree is a pullet.
This one though... 11.5 weeks now. Will be 12 weeks come Tuesday. This is Ringo (with guest appearances from the other three birds). Ringo likes to chest bump with Wyatt...
I'm back! There's still a SS that I'm not so sure on, since the comb is a bit larger than its hatch mate. Just wanted to get eyes on it again. It may just be that something damaged the comb on the other pullet?
This is Reba. I totally agree that this is a pullet. Just want to make sure she's...
I'm trying to decide if I want to go back outside and take more photos of the SS I'm questioning LOL Opinion was already given, but it looks a bit different than its hatchmate. The comb is more pronounced and the tail feathers look different.
I'm actually second guessing the first SS I posted too. The comb is more pronounced than the other and looking at tail feathers this morning, they are also pretty different from the other. I'll look more tonight when I get home.
Thanks!
I just picked up my crew today :) All about 9 weeks old. Roos aren't a problem here, but curiosity and all :)
Chick 1 - Dark Brahma. Thinking pullet.
Chick 2 - Speckled Sussex #1 - Thinking pullet.
Chick 3 - Speckled Sussex #2 - Thinking pullet.
Chick 4 - Blue...
