Antifreeze works well for the rat problem too. We used to cut up egg cartons and fill the individual cups with it. The best soulution I have found from experience is a live rat trap. Just fill the bait cup with some feed of some sort and they push open a weighted door to get in, which then...

Quote: Might wanna try the feather test. Lift up one of the hackle feathers; if it's pointed on the end it's a cockeral, rounded- pullet. Works very accurately on all breeds except those that have hen feathered roosters (like sebrights).

Haha, that's something CA-reds. I had an Old English bantam rooster that took it upon himself to care for a batch of chicks, after the new mother hen just quit watching them after a few days from hatching them.

Quote: Thanks, but when do they wean? That's what I can't remember It varies depending on the breed of rabbit. Large rabbits tend to wean between 6-8 weeks but dwarfs can take a little bit longer. I don't set a certain amount of days, just when I see they are really starting to chow down on...

You can seperate baby rabbits as soon as they're weaned and start to eat and drink on their own. Never had a problem with it.

Quote: As long as you have seen your babies eat your rabbit feed and drink water, they are already plenty old enough to wean. Our Checkered Giants tend to wean off at 3 to 4 weeks but my dwarfs are a little slower.
