Haha, that's something CA-reds. I had an Old English bantam rooster that took it upon himself to care for a batch of chicks, after the new mother hen just quit watching them after a few days from hatching them.

You can seperate baby rabbits as soon as they're weaned and start to eat and drink on their own. Never had a problem with it.

Just got home from hangin with my buddy Bluedog, with my new self blue O.E. pullet. I've got a nice little self blue O.E. cockeral, that I got in an assortment from Ideal hatchery last spring. Now he's finally got a mate lol! Now spring is gonna feel like forever away lol!
