Does anyone know the rules for selling eggs at Chicken Swaps? Less than 60 dozen, so from what I understand I do not need license, but do they have to be in new cartons, washed and refrigerated? I usually just rinse mine in warm water, and put them in the fridge. If selling do you have to...

Hi atel, we moved here last June, and we are not too far from you in Lawrenceburg. Welcome! We don't have our chickens, we are fixing up an old coop, and will welcome 13 little ones in April. The weather has been the pits. Not just the snow but all the rain too. I am not sure we will ever dry...

They are unwelcome because they stalk our horses, they challenge the horses by running towards them before backing off if rebuffed. Last summer a lone coyote ran at my husband before he took a shot at him.The coyotes out here are way to bold and brazen for me. They have acres and acres of woods...

Anybody else have these unwelcome visitors show up in the middle of the day? We just moved here last summer. We hear them all the time, just surprised to see them out in the open, so close to the horses/house.

I am ready for warmer weather too! Of course in August, when the horseflies are ruthlessly attacking the horses, I will be praying for cooler temps to send those flying demons back to the underworld.

Posting some pics of the old coop we are fixing up for our chicks coming in April. The previous owners had the coop on the other side the shop, and you could not see it from the house. Soo, I asked my hubby if we could move the coop...he is so awesome, he said "where do you want it"...

Hello KYTinpusher, Thank you for thinking of me. My husband and I checked out the swap at TSC a few times last summer. I have also joined the group on Facebook. We didn't purchased anything chicken related, because we weren't ready yet, but we did buy some awesome farm fresh vegetables;-)
