    I am near Somerset, KY and have seen minor frost bite on my Jersey Giant roosters but had a pretty bad case on my light sussex roo. His comb is much bigger than the giant's. He looks like he will loose all the points on his comb.;(

    I put my 3 week old chicks in a small weather proof starter coop with a heat lamp 3 weeks ago with no problems. Starter coop is about 4x4 and is made of pressed wood covered with metal and wrapped in plastic. After they are fully feathered out will manage without heat. But I'm a bleeding...
