I made 2 quiche's last night. A spinach and capicola (sp?) with cheddar, and a chicken chipotle with mozzarella.
I had hoped they'd get us through dinner tonight. It doesn't look like it's going to happen, they're so good.
Nice. Sometimes I like it thick too, and maybe a little crunchier, so I just omit the water.
I put in some elk meat that I smoked yesterday. It shall be good.
I'm making some one million six hundred seventy eight thousand, one hundred and forty two bean soup. It's always good with some Rotel and hot Italian sausage. I'm also going to make a few loaves of french bread.
Stand back, and watch your fingers!
That's why the wife and I rarely eat out. It's almost always a let down.
The last time we ate out, we were on a road trip, and let ourselves get way too hungry. We stopped at a Wendy's, got two spicy chicken sandwiches, 2 sides of cold stale fries, and two small drinks.
The total was almost $20...
I pulled some homemade tomato sauce from the freezer, added some hot Italian snausage and a handful of morels. A little more seasonings, and it will be spag on angel hair.
All this talk of fish!
I've got some frozen Dorado in the freezer, and some U15 shrimp. I'm going to have a hard time deciding which way to go. Maybe a little nap will help.
Maybe some steak tartar. I just don't know.
I tried doing a sour dough starter from scratch this summer. That is to say, I added no yeast, and let the natural yeasts take the job.
It only takes maybe 5 days for the whole thing to take off. I made a few loaves of bread, and that's when I remembered I don't really care for sour dough bread...
Got to pick up my daughter at the bus station tonight, so since I'm in town, I'll pick up a papa Murphy's chicken and artichoke pizza.
I think tomorrow night might just be some crab legs.
