    Good to know! I figure they are kept separate pretty frequently. I stuck him in with the girls last night, and I'm glad I did, because it turns out their water warmer is not working, and i wouldn't have been out to check on them as early if I hadn't had to get him out. :) and his toe was fine.

    I see you are pretty close to me in Kansas City. They have coops but little windbreak? He has a coop right up against the garage, draft free. Hmm. Can't I just use vaseline on the wattles and such to help prevent frostbite?
