I can't tell you how to manage your birds. I just personally always let all my poultry fight it out. I haven't had anyone die from fighting, but it's a personal decision with risks. They can get pretty nasty looking and exhausted when fighting, and it can take weeks for all wounds to heal up...

Fights can go on for days and they don't often stop until there's a loser, even than the loser will get harassed and chased for a few weeks. I personally let everyone fight it out as I can't separate anyone out unless it's to eat them. Turkeys are quite determined birds.
