Ed Hart from Sorrento ILL no longer has Dorkings. I was told they all were purchased by Sandhills. I have Ed's strain of whites. There has been a lot of interest in the Whites (which is great). I just hope people understand that they are a work in progress. A few breeders like YHF and others...

I purchased 2 trios from Ed Hart. He is the one that told me that a Silver Grey over the white produced half cuckoo birds. I know he used a Silver Grey on this whites. So that is why I think I am hatching cuckoo birds.
Cuckoo is a recognized variety in the Standard. I would like to know if your white female has no cuckoo gene and you breed her to a Silver Grey what would the offspring would look like?

I would make your own. Get a Silver grey male cross with a white female half should be cuckoo. I'm working on whites dorkings and hatched a few cuckoo birds. Just sold the females and male I had that were cuckoo.
I agree with you 100 percent Joseph. I purchased 2 trios of white Dorkings from Ed Hart last fall and have hatched a few chicks 65+. I have called Ed one than once to talk Dorkings and he is always willing to share information. He is a gentleman. My goal someday is to compete in the English...
