I thought about doing this and running the pipe all the way through second floor to the roof but the only turbine I saw at Home Depot is huge.

I think that's a fabulous idea. My boyfriend showed me something similar done with flat panels. I looked at a turbine yesterday at Home Depot and it was huge. Way too big for my situation. So I ended up with a metal gable vent that I've installed in my sidewall. I intend to lay siding over the...

Ok. Thank you for checking in! I wish the folks who lived here before and who built this made it a little bit taller downstairs.

Yep. I have adequate ventilation upstairs though because the ceiling is higher and I have vents across from eachother. The birds roost about half upstairs and half downstairs.

As I said before the ceiling in my coop is non existent since the clearance is about four feet. If I install opposite vents the birds will be in direct way of the...

    Ventilation

Hi, mostly it's condensation in the winter. I live at about 7000 feet in elevation. We have pretty mild summers, so it's not too hot.

Seems like I've heard you especially need ventilation in the winter because of condensation from their poop and breath.

This is my coop. The bottom floor is maybe four feet high. The top floor I can stand up in and I'm five foot seven inches.

    Ventilation

I don't think I can do the open wall ventilation on my ground floor because it would be at the same level as their roosts and would be too drafty especially in winter. Ideally I'd like to put a small electric fan in the wall to draw air out but I can't seem to find anything.

    Ventilation

Hello all, I inherited a two story coop at the house I'm renting. The bottom floor has a very low ceiling (I have to stoop over to get in). I don't think I could put an open ventilation in because I could not put it anywhere where it would be above their roosts and therefore it would be too...
