14/16 I think the girls are a little scared by the new arrivals in the grow out pen. This is the best day yet!

Only 9 so far today. My girls had been doing so well...14/17. But we have another broody and she is keeping the others out of the box. At least she's not as mean as the last one.....yet. Into the broody breaker she goes.

14/17 today best day in quite some time. We've been battling a few broodies and the last one is in the broody breaker as I type. SHe was particularly nasty, and since it was so hot we let her go for a short time. I think she was scaring some of the girls and keeping them out of the nest box.

13/17 one had the strangest end on it. Looked like the tip of an ice cream cone

There were 12 eggs so far. Hot and humid. Have had 1 broody that in not sure is back to layingnyet

Monday- 12/17. Tuesday-14/17 and Wednesday- 14/17 Since we took the hay bale off the shelf they aren't using it to nest but they are roosting on the shelf again.

The RSL newbies are going strong we're getting 4 or 5 a day from them. So most days we're getting 12 eggs. Today we got 13. If all goes well with weather this weekend they will all be living together by Sunday. As it is one of the tetras visit with the Reds every day for a few hours.

I don't wash them, but DH feels its necessary before he puts them in the fridge. I told him it wasn't needed but he does it anyway. 8 again today
