How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

four for four, that soft shattered shell egg dropped on the poop box that I mentioned a few days ago seems to be an innocuous anomaly, as she has laid three good firm eggs since then.

Austra has not laid hers as on about 15 minutes ago.
Still time though...

3 out of three but yesterday I only had 1. How many seasons do they continue laying? Mine are from March 2012 and have been laying since beginning of Sept 2012

Another 2/3 day, but I'm not surprised.

Rusty went walkabout into the forbidden front garden this morning. The neighbours were walking their dogs, and one of their Scottish Terriers decided that a chicken in my front garden was more interesting than a morning walk! He chased her into the back garden (she ran THROUGH the netting that's supposed to stop her getting out - just pushed under it!), and then found himself spoilt for choice with 3 chickens running around all over the place. He chased them under the terrace, and didn't come out for 2 or 3 minutes. Apparently my neighbour was using every treat and bribe she could think of to get him out. I wasn't home at the time, but she phoned me to apologise, and ask if I still had 3 chooks. When I got home I had a look - they were all running around in fine form, and shouting for treats as usual. I haven't seen the neighbour's dog yet, but I have a feeling that he might have come off worst!

Although I'm pleased that the girls managed to get away / frighten him off, I'm still keeping a close eye on them tomorrow morning when my neighbour goes past, just to make sure that they're out of the way.

10 eggs again, 9 on the left of the nest box and 1 on the right side!

Found out yesterday that my daughter in law is expecting two boys in August! Yay more grand babies!
