That is terrible! I feel so bad for you. At least you trapped one, and there's a good chance you'll trap the other soon. If you haven't already, you might want to let your mom know that in Ohio, it's illegal to relocate raccoons. They have to either be released or disposed of ON your property...
Welcome, Alex! I'm glad to have you on here again.
I'm sorry I missed your first question. :-( I'll have to look back over the thread and find it. As for your second question, I unfortunately do not have any experience with rescuing chickens or rescue organizations that offer them. Depending...
Congratulations, @Maplemaam! New chicks are a true joy and worth celebrating. :-) I have gotten many, MANY chicks from Meyer...every one of them healthy and beautiful. Their overhatch bins are dangerously addicting and WELL worth your time. ;-) Enjoy your precious new fuzzballs, and please share...

x2 on not raising chicks and ducklings together. Ducklings, though cute, are about the messiest...

I'm thinking about selling eggs from my home and could use some input on pricing. Our chickens are fed organic feed and spend their days in a huge enclosed pasture when they're not out free ranging. We have just about every egg color imaginable. I've heard of people in the area charging anywhere...
